Book 1 of 6 in Dragonkeeper series
The book I’m reviewing today – Dragonkeeper by Carole Wilkinson – fast became one of my top favourites! It’s the first in a series of six (or actually two trilogies) and has a prequel called Dragon Dawn. Set in the Han dynasty – so over 2000 years ago – a slave girl named Ping works for a cruel master. When she gets blamed for something she didn’t do, she fleas with her friend and a strange stone. Together they head for a place called Ocean, encountering lots of trouble along the way. The story takes its readers on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride! There is never a dull moment in this fantastical, beautifully told tale. And being set in Ancient China gives it a historical touch, which I really enjoyed. Watch my book review video to find out more – but don’t worry, there are no spoilers!
